About Jade Jessop

Born in Birmingham, Jade graduated from UCE with a Bachelor degree in Design, Media, and Management. Her creative talents know no bounds, having launched Honor Gold, a successful fashion brand, now in its tenth year. Jade says, “Fashion is a way we can express ourselves. We have become a world of social media, which has given me the opportunity to showcase and build the fashion brand. From this platform, I have been able to introduce my artwork, resulting in bespoke commissions.” Being a fashion designer, she has never been able to fully commit the time to developing an art collection. This all changed in the year 2020, with the worldwide COVID 19 pandemic.  As the country went into lockdown, her fashion did too, so she focused on her artwork. The result is a collection of bold, unique, contemporary pieces, many enriched with gold leaf. She says of her work, “I want them to compliment the interior of a room in a modern abstract way.”

The website offers original pieces as well as limited edition prints. Also, during this difficult time, Jade adds, “I am one of the lucky ones, and painting is my release, but for many, mental health is a real struggle. I wanted to do my bit to help raise awareness, so I designed a T-shirt for charity.”  This led to a small collection of watercolour originals and limited edition prints that are on the website for sale as well.

Jade’s aim was always to bring her art to the world, and as many brands venture into home interiors, she feels this is a natural extension to her brand. She brings together the use of acrylics and oils, using vibrant colours, which create pieces that have unpredictable movements, and becomes a great conversation starter, as everyone has their own vision of what they can see.
